Snow Days

Savannah's first snowball. Look how proud (and distracted)she was. Cute little baby. She just asked me the other day to go make snowballs with her. She thinks we get it on demand, or maybe from the freezer. :)
Here's Coa and her little bitty snow-woman. (she seems to have a real need for the fairer sex to get equal airtime. If I say, 'Oh, look at that rabbit! He's hopping fast!' She'll always say, 'Or she, Mom.' So, the female snow person comes as no surprise. Funny little girl. She's creative too. I don't know if you can tell, but she crafted a hat for her snowlady out of dead grass.
Alright, this was two days after the first snow. The first snow came on 24APR. We were driving home from our tour of the birthing center when I noticed that what I thought was rain on the rooftops was really snow. The snowflakes just got fatter and fatter from there. It took us over two hours to get home from Dallas (normally about a 45 minute drive). We thought that was a lot of snow, but a couple of days later the bottom fell out. We got 6-9 inches out here. It was great! I love living in a place where there's no guarantee of snow, so you know that when it comes it will be short-lived. That way you get to enjoy the beauty of it with the assurance of warmer, drier weather in the very near future.
Here's Savannah sporting her Dora hat. Look at that chubby little face! Yummy. She was so excited about the snow. We had to drag her in from outside. She loved throwing snowballs at us and at the house. It was pretty funny.
